i’m Sheena, she/her, welcome to velvet mark consulting!

i’m a first gen filipina-american, daughter, sister, friend, partner, mother of two, and so many other things in between - i’m also a people-first professional with years of experience in community building, people experience, and DEI programming. i've always had a passion of supporting small businesses by shopping there and amplifying them.. that passion progressed in to my career path as i began working for small businesses/start-ups/organizations, creating cultures where people genuinely want to show up, policies that make belonging feel real, and foundations that grow with the teams they support. i founded velvet mark consulting because it just felt like the natural next chapter of my work. it’s a practice built on my work and personal experiences, what I've learned and continue to learn, and everything i believe people deserve from their workplace.
