I’m Sheena, she/her, first gen filipina-american, daughter, sister, friend, partner, mother of two, and so many other things in between.. I’m also a people-first professional with years of experience in community building, people experience, and DEI programming.

I've spent my career working alongside small businesses and organizations, creating policies that make belonging feel real, and building foundations that grow with the teams they support. I hold a CoCreate Work certification - a program recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification - bringing research-backed, collaborative framework to every engagement.

I founded velvet mark consulting because it just felt like the natural next chapter of my work - it’s a practice built on my experiences, what I've learned and continue to learn, and everything I believe people deserve from their workplace.

Building a great team is one thing.. Building a culture that holds them together is another.

At velvet mark consulting, I work alongside small businesses — teams of 1 to 30 — who are ready to be intentional about their people experience.
